Next morning MEERA took pramod & Amrita to a local ground where she demonstrated to ride the bike herself and briefed them about basics of biking. Then she got down from the bike and asked Amrita to drive first. With some hesitation Amrita sat on the bike, removed the center stand. Then MEERA asked her to move the bike ahead with her legs. She did it for few steps. She felt that the so-called heavy bike is not as heavy as she thought about. Then she kick started the bike, applied first gear gently, released the clutch and opened the throttle simultaneously as a result of which the bike came in motion. She drove at 30 Kph for half an hour continuously and applied all 5 gears. Like MEERA, Amrita too was tall and healthy. Therefore she did not come across any difficulty while balancing the bull. Then she stopped the vehicle and got off.
MEERA: I am surprised to see the way you drove the bike. I wonder whether you drove it before. What was good to see in your driving was the balance of vehicle you maintained quite well. Your hands were not shivering on the saddle of bull. They were tight & steady. You remained calm and applied all gears nicely. But there is one place where you need to work out. You seemed to be over cautious. You were paying more attention to your each action; you often looked down while changing gears & applying breaks. If it comes in your habit you would not be able to concentrate while driving the vehicle on busy roads and highways. On the whole you really rode the bike well.
Amrita: Thanks di. You know what? You have always been an inspiration to me. When I saw you riding the bull, I made up my mind to do the same. Had I not seen you on the saddle of bull, I would never have gathered enough courage to ride it. You made me believed that girls too can handle the mean bikes well. Yes I will definitely keep your words in mind and act upon them next time when I come to ride it.
Pramod: It was not I who rode the bike. You made me do it. I request you to keep sitting behind me to avoid any unbalance of vehicle on my part.
MEERA: All right.
He rode the bike for another 20 minutes. This time he looked a bit more confident. MEERA was alert. She did not let the bike fall down with her strong legs.
MEERA: Ok guy. It is enough for today. Pramod I know that you come across some physical challenges but you don’t need to worry about them at all. It is matter of time & practice. If you spend more time in driving you would overcome these problems. I am sure you would drive well in a short period of time.
MEERA conducted 4-5 bike training sessions for Amrita & pramod. Amrita was very quick at learning the art. She soon got proficiency in handling of heavy bikes. She took responsibility to help Pramod in learning the biking. On the other hand Pramod under the utmost care of his sister and girlfriend showed some improvement. MEERA asked Amrita to drive the bike on city roads. Amrita did it well with Pramod as her pillion. Many times she was seen making tripling on MEERA’s bull along with Pramod & his friend on city roads. Pramod turned out to be a happy pillion to Amrita. He asked her to take the full charge of bikes whenever they would be together. Amrita accepted his demand.
